One doesn?t normally associate native son Alexander Payne with ethnic enclaves or commercial enterprises. Yet his family has been a fixture in Omaha?s Greek-American community for nearly a century, and for decades held a niche in the city?s downtown dining market.

Council Bluffs: The Rails West Railroad Museum, 16th Avenue and S. Main Street, will feature "Santa Claus at the Depot" on weekends beginning Nov. 24-25 through Dec. 15-16 from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, with children 10-years-old and under receiving free admission.
