The North Platte Telegraph The local Kids Klub supplemental education program continues to receive high marks from the Nebraska Department of Education. In the latest evaluation, Kids Klub exceeded the state average in almost every category.

North Platte public school teachers agreed Tuesday to a 3.6 percent increase in base pay, Associate Superintendent Dan Twarling said. Under the new pay package, the starting pay for a first-year teacher will be $31,140 a year. That is a $1,070 increase over last year.
